Life Is Better With Friends Around

Hi there,

thank-yououdWe Are So Grateful for You
We are so excited to be able to post our first family update on our website! We are so thankful for all of you. Thank you for reading our updates, thank you for being part of our lives, thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Everything is easier with so many amazing friends and family members helping us along the way. And it’s immensely more fun to live our lives surrounded by all of you!

dscf0955Chris turned 28 years old last month. 2 more years and we will be 30! He got some new medicine for his narcolepsy. Unfortunately the last one only worked for a few days, so the doctor decided to switch to a different medicine. This one seems to be working, at least he is not fighting being tired all the time. Please keep him in your prayers. He is working at Allstate twice a week, doing school, going to Indiana University almost every weekend (sometimes twice a week) to do pyrotechnics at the Football games, and he has some ongoing freelance projects he is working on. He is doing an amazing job, but I can’t imagine how hard it must be with his narcolepsy. I am so proud of him and all he does.

dscf0985Amy still loves school, she loves her friends. I am so glad she gets to be with other kids every day and gets to learn new things. She is doing a great job reading. We are very proud of her. Frankly I wish Kindergarten was more playing than “sit down and do this activity,” but I am thankful she is surrounded by friends. And they do lots of fun stuff, too. It’s still hard to believe that our girl is old enough to go to school.

dscf0988Haley is a very brave little girl. She climbs up and slides down on anything she can find at the playground. She climbs up on stuff even Amy doesn’t dare to (and Amy is 5…). She loves playing with baby dolls and pretending to be their mom. Now that I am watching an infant, she gets a better picture of how to care for a baby, so she is a very good mom already! 🙂 She tells us when to be quiet because her baby is sleeping, she asks me to change her baby’s diaper, when she thinks the baby needs it, and so on. I love watching her grow!

We are so happy and excited about this phase in our lives. Raising support is not an easy task, and we couldn’t do it without your help. Thank you for praying for us and for considering financially supporting us. To God be the glory!

Have a wonderful weekend!
The James family
