Looking Forward to an Exciting Year

Dear Friends and Family,

Can you believe it’s 2018 already?

26063040_2062453877355136_1957869479_o (1)We have a lot to look forward to this year: Spending time with the students for another few months, Missions Conference, graduation, summer camps, the beginning of another BI year, and Lord willing moving into our house.

Amy is excited about turning 7 in a month. She likes her school teacher a lot. Her favorite subjects are “religious studies” (imagine it as a Sunday School class), art, and she really likes reading and writing. I don’t think she has any subjects she doesn’t like. We are very proud of her and are excited to see her grow into a young lady.

DSCF0492Haley went from drawing like a little kid to recognizable shapes and forms. She even surprised us by writing quite a few letters of the alphabet all by herself. I am really impressed by her drawings and feel like I want to keep them all. 🙂
She has a friend, Juliet, at her preschool and whenever I ask her how preschool was, the answer is always, “Juliet was there” (meaning she had a good day), or “Juliet wasn’t there” (meaning she had a bad day). I am so glad she has great friends here.

20180112_155918Joshua is cute, and I think he might be getting better at sleeping at night. Initially he didn’t sleep at all at night, and he still wakes up a lot, but I think it’s getting better. He sleeps well during the day though, and he isn’t bothered by any noise whatsoever. He cries when he is hungry or when he has a dirty diaper and that’s about it. He likes to look around and observe his surroundings.
He still has blue eyes, so maybe it will stay blue. Amy would like that, since she is the only one in our family who has blue eyes. (She got it from my mom.)

20171222_115955Chris is doing okay, but tired. We would really like for him to get his medicine. We are still waiting for the Hungarian FDA to approve it being imported. Please pray that in God’s timing he would be able to get the medicine he needs. He really enjoys his job and hopes to be the Dean of Men next year as well.

I am doing okay, too. Sleeping more would be nice, but this is to be expected with a newborn. I really can’t complain. Amy is helping a lot with Haley, and Chris helps with Joshua, so we are all set. 🙂
We have so many dear friends praying for us, taking care of us, helping us, and making us feel loved. We are so thankful!

God bless!
