Someone Turned 6!

Hi there,

As hard as it is to believe, our Amy is 6 years old.
Haley was so excited to celebrate her big sister’s birthday. We went to the Bouncin Barn on her birthday after she came home from school (it’s a birthday tradition of ours), and we went to the Children’s Museum here in Terre Haute on Saturday. This was our first time there, and all 4 of us enjoyed it. We went to the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis a few years ago, too, and we prefer this to that. This one is more “hands-on,” although I don’t recommend it for children under 4. After four and a half hours we told the kids we have to get going, but they wanted to stay longer. 🙂 There were a lot of fun things and they were enjoying there time there. On Sunday Chris’ mom, sister, and brother-in-law came over for a little bit to celebrate Amy.

In the biggest bubble. 🙂

Right when the bubble popped. 🙂

Haley greets Amy when she comes home from school with a big hug and says “I missed you, I missed you, I missed you!” She runs to the door when she hears Amy come and screams her name. She often reminds us during the day it’s time to get Amy from the bus. I am so glad to see how much they love each other.
Haley is working on her letters, she recognizes all but “E” (which she calls “M” every single time) and “N.” She knows her shapes, colors, and numbers to 10 by now pretty well. She is a very independent little girl, and as Chris says it, very “particular.”

Haley drew a face.

Chris’ doctors are trying to figure out what to do with his medicines so they work. Right now the narcolepsy medicine is not working as it should, so he is tired most of the day. He’s tried several combinations of different medicines, but so far they only worked for a short time, and none of them seem to be the solution to his problem. Please pray, if you will, that the doctor’s would be able to find just the right medicine for him so he doesn’t feel so sleepy all day.

I had a cardiologist appointment last month and they did some tests and assured me that my heart is as healthy as can be. 🙂 The cardiologist suspects that I have hiatal hernia. I have an endoscopy scheduled for the end of next month, we will see what they find out then. I haven’t had any bad heartburn this year for which I am extremely grateful to God.

Before the pop.

After the pop.

We are thankful for our family and friends and for their support. It means so much to us that we know we are loved and cared for. Your prayers are always appreciated!

God bless,
The James family
