Fellowship

Dear Friends,

New_Beginnings_00013667Fellowship-EssentialforGrowthTitleSlideIn the month of Thanksgiving, I think it’s fitting to write about why I am thankful to be part of this ministry. Usually Chris writes the ministry blogs, but this time I will write about life from home.

Since we have little children, I don’t get to go in and work from the property. This also means I don’t get to see the students much (if at all). A year can go by without me even having a chance to say a word to some of the students, which breaks my heart. So learning from last year’s experience, Chris and I decided to be very intentional about inviting the students over.
What a difference it makes!

I am finally able to get to know ALL the students throughout the year, and there are a few girls who come over regularly to talk. I absolutely love being with them, getting to know them, encourage them, and being encouraged by them.

We also have fellowships for the staff and interns every other week. It’s so nice to see them outside of the property and be able to fellowship with them in a different setting.

One of my favorite things during the week is hosting the guest teachers and their wives. These wonderful people spend a week or two here teaching our students from the Word of God. They share their knowledge, their enthusiasm, their love for the Lord, and it’s a privilege we get to invite them over to our home. I am especially thankful our children can be part of this!

Our ministry doesn’t start and end on the property of Word of Life Hungary. We want to be useful tools in God’s hand at home as much as anywhere else. Our kids have many friends at the Bible Institute who love them and care for them. What an amazing place we serve at!

So as we celebrate Thanksgiving shortly, I am thankful to God for the fellowships. For the many people we get to meet during the year, for the many friends, and for our families. Thank you for being part of this ministry by your prayers and your support!

We wish you a Blessed Thanksgiving!
