Growing Up

Hi there,

Is it really the middle of July? Crazy!

Amy was a camper a couple of weeks ago and she absolutely loved it! I didn’t realize how much I will miss her while she is at camp. She, on the other hand, had so much fun she wanted to stay at camp for another week. 🙂

I am involved with registration this year, and I absolutely love it! I feel like I am 20 again, and am often surprised to hear a 7 year old and a (almost) 4 year old say “mommy” to me. When did I become the same age as the parents of the campers? 🙂

kidsHaley is one of the most thoughtful people I know. She sees what needs to be done and she does it without having to be asked. She missed Amy very bad, but she did a wonderful job taking care of her little brother! I truly hope they will all get along well as they grow up.

Joshua started crawling last month, and he can sit well now. He gets from one place to another pretty fast now, so we have to watch him carefully. He is a happy baby as long as he is not tired or hungry. He loves to laugh and he is very ticklish.

feetChris is busy with Bible Institute stuff, but still finds time after work to help me with registration things. I sure am super thankful, he already saved me hours of work. Even others noticed how much time his computer savvy saves at registration.

We spend a lot of time on campus and it’s so wonderful to see the campers enjoy camp. Our goal is not only for them to have fun, but also (and more importantly) that they would learn about their Creator. What they do with the information they have is entirely their choice, but we want each camper to realize that they have a decision to make. They can either accept or reject God. There is no middle ground.

Camp is a wonderful opportunity for our family to see what really matters. This life on earth is short, we want to make it count. May we never lose focus!
