Learning to Wait

Dear Friends,

Spring was here and then isn’t here anymore. 🙂 We had some wonderful weather during the kids spring break, so we went to many different places. It was so nice to be with the family and go for little hikes. The kids loved all the places we visited and cannot wait for us to be able to go again. Since COVID, we spent most of our days inside (or in our yard, when the weather permitted), and it was so refreshing to be able to go to places. We choose places where there weren’t many other people and it was so nice to just walk and explore.

I was fortunate enough to get my first shot! I should be able to get my second shot early May. Right now, we are waiting for Chris to be able to get his first shot. They didn’t call us with an appointment for him yet, but we cannot wait for that call. 🙂 I teared up when I heard I will be able to get the shot. Weird times we live in. 🙂

For Easter we have a tradition we started a year ago. We got a cool “Resurrection Eggs” kit and it contains 12 plastic eggs with twelve important symbols of Easter in them. It explains the Easter story with these little symbols. We first hide the eggs in our yard, once the kids found all 12, we go on our trampoline and Chris talks to them about each of the little symbols and how they fit in the Easter story. It basically tells them the Gospel in a way they understand. It is so cool to see how they comprehend more and more about why Jesus had to die and what it means that He rose from the dead. We love celebrating Easter!

How can we pray for you?
