New Responsibilites!

OpeningWeekend2018

Dear friends, we are nearing the end of this school year, and the next ministry update won’t be until after our students have finished the academic year. More on this wonderful school year when we post in June.

This month I would like to share some exciting news with you about some transitions at the Bible Institute.
John Deal, who has been serving as the Bible Institute Manager for the past two years, along with his wife, Elizabeth, will be moving back to the United States, as their 2-year commitment comes to an end. God has used them greatly in their time serving with us, in the lives of students and staff alike, and I will hopefully not soon forget the lessons I have learned while he has been my boss.
Starting June 1st, I will be stepping into the role of COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the Bible Institute, reporting to Alex Konya (the interim director of WOL Hungary and the BI, and director of WOL Europe). This means I will be coordinating and helping to supervise the day-to-day operations of the various BI departments, while Alex will be responsible for all the big-picture leadership decisions. It is great to be working closely with Alex, as he has many years of pastoral and directorial experience, with a heart for people and ministry that is deeply motivational.
There are many other areas that are being strengthened by delegating key people with certain key responsibilities. It is an exciting time to be here, and I am trusting God to provide the wisdom to all of us to continue to improve our program for the sake of those who come here to study God’s Word and apply it to their lives and ministry.

Thankful for:

  • John and Elizabeth Deal, and many others who have served here during the past couple years
  • A solid team lined up for next year, with some students returning to serve with us

Prayer requests:

  • That all our future staff who need to raise support would be able to do so and return to join the team this fall
  • Wisdom in my new responsibilities
  • Wisdom for us all as we work to continue to improve the BI
  • Continued discussions with those considering the long-term position of BI Director
