Dear Friends,
We are super excited to have our own house and to share the blessing that is with others. We have the guest teacher(s) and their wives (if they travel with them) over on Fridays, a group of staff over on Monday, and every other Thursday we have our Family Group here. Our Family Group consists of 7 students and 3 staff members (+ our family).
The other night we were able to put to use our extendable table when the RAs and Deans came over for a fellowship. It was so nice to play with these students and staff and share some memories. Unfortunately I don’t get to spend as much time on campus as I would like to, so it’s a very nice way for me to see them and enjoy their companies.
We also had our second sleepover with our Family Group students the other night. Chris and I didn’t make it ’til the morning like the students did, but we tried to stay up with them for at least a while. 🙂 We are so glad we get to have them over and be encouraged by their serving hearts.
The school year is ending soon and we will have to say goodbye to a lot of our dear friends. It’s never easy, but we know we will meet again and we can’t wait to see how God is using them in their home country or other mission fields meanwhile.
One of Chris’ most favorite things as a kid was when they had the guest teachers over for dinner. He often mentions how much he learned and enjoyed those times. So now that our children can be part of it, we hope they will have the same fond memories of it. It’s wonderful to meet the teachers, ask them about their week at the Bible School, get to know them, their families, and fellowship with them. What a privilege to be encouraged by them!
We are very grateful for your support, both prayer and financial. We are excited to have these opportunities and are looking for more ways to open up our house.
