Another School Year, Here We Come!

Have you ever had a time in your life when you just couldn’t believe how mightily God answered your prayers? In these instances I often think of Acts 12. The believers who were likely praying for Peter’s deliverance couldn’t believe that he was actually there at their gate.
While we were praying for the students to be able to come this year, I am sure we had our doubts about how likely it is that they will all be able to come. But as we know how Acts 12 ended (Peter really was there 🙂 ), our students also arrived. All of them without exception got permission from our government to enter the country. Currently we have about half of our students on campus (many in quarantine) and we are expecting the other half to come in a few days. We have students from 13 countries!

The Opening Weekend will be after the first week of classes, so those who are now in quarantine will be also able to join. By the second half of October almost all of our students will be here on campus, out of quarantine.

We are humbled and honored that God organized everything in such a way that we can have so many students this year! Each of these students had to go through a lot of inconvenience to be here and we believe this year is going to be special.

Classes start on October 6, and those who are in quarantine or not on our campus yet will be able to do the first weeks online.

As you can imagine, government regulations change often, so we must be especially flexible in our program this year to abide by all government instructions. This year won’t be the same as the previous ones, but we want to make sure that our students get the same experience out of it. Our goal hasn’t changed, we want to see all of our students not just gain knowledge, but also put that knowledge into practice.

Please pray for wisdom for us as we finalize some aspects of the school year and pray for us as we lead these young people. Our Discipleship Program has stayed the same, each student is assigned to a staff member who disciples them, meets with them, encourages them, listens to them, prays with them, and grows with them.

We are so excited to see God at work! He has been so faithful through this all and we want to make sure we do everything to His glory!
