Keeping in Touch

Dear Friends,

We are so grateful that we have internet! While I am sure we would make do without it, I can’t imagine how we would keep in touch with all the students if we didn’t have internet.

Chris has been busy making sure the Bible School runs smoothly, as you can imagine, we are facing new challenges, but so far he is encouraged by the commitment of the students and is thankful for their hard work. God has been very faithful, as always, and the classes are available for the students. I get recommendations from some of our students, so I try to listen to some of the classes they have and I must say I am very thankful I get a chance to listen to them! What a unique opportunity!

I keep in touch with some of the students and a recurring topic is how they could have never imagined this year ending up like this, but how God knew even before the school year started, that they will finish their studies at home. They are encouraged by the fact that God knew all along, it didn’t come as a surprise to Him, and while we didn’t know we will only have 7 months together, He did.
Not only did He know, but He also let it happen. We serve an Almighty God, and we never have to fear that something happened without His knowledge. We can have peace despite our circumstances because of who He is. He is perfect, He is good, He is loving, He is caring, He is King of kings, Lord of lords, He is our Rock, our Refuge, He is faithful.

Another thing the students noticed was how God gave them opportunities they would have never had otherwise. They are able to spend time with their parents, siblings, family, many of whom are not saved. They are able to be a light at home, they are able to encourage their families and show Christ to them. I love seeing how God uses us in this time. May we be powerful testimonies to those around us!

While I miss seeing the students, I miss our fellowships, one-on-ones, having them over, I am grateful that I can still be in touch with them. Please pray for them as they get use to the new normal, for self-discipline, wise schedule, and for them to be a light.

Grateful for you and your prayers!
