Missions Conference 2020

Dear Friends,

We are so excited to have the students back! They arrived early January, and after a couple of weeks of courses, we had our very first Missions Week here at Word of Life Hungary.

During Missions Week our students had the opportunity to serve in different areas. Some were picking up trash in our village, some helped with English teaching, sport ministries, served among the elderly, did Open Air Evangelism – no matter where they served, the goal was to share the Gospel with those around them.

Every morning, all the students got together to share praises and pray for these ministries together. We hope it was a blessed and encouraging time for them.

At the end of January, we had our annual Missions Conference. Over 250 people from over 20 countries took part in it this year, and the theme was Gospel Without Borders. Our hearts were moved by God’s Word as our speaker, Todd Ahrend, helped us view the world as God sees it: over 7 billion people, many of whom have never heard the Gospel, and need someone to go share Christ with them!

To continue to fulfill God’s mission, we had our annual Faith Promise pledge to donate to world missions, where those at the conference stepped out in faith to promise to give of their finances to an evangelism and discipleship advancing project in India, and another, confidential country. In total, the conference participants promised to give around $14,900 USD! We pray that God will bless this promise and the sacrifices to come with it, and we pray that the projects will bear much fruit in areas of the world that have few Gospel witnesses!

The Missions Conference is usually one of the highlights of the school year. Many of our students dedicated their lives to missions this year. It is a wonderful feeling seeing all these young adults living with a purpose, wanting to glorify God, not themselves.

Please pray for all these decisions, that God would continue to lead them, guide them, open doors for them as we know He will. Please pray that this desire in the students wouldn’t fade.

We are very thankful for all of you and are excited to do ministry together with you! Thank you for your support, prayers, and love!
