Renewed Strength

Dear Friends,IMG_20191220_172732

It’s 2020! Happy New Year!

The girls are back to school, Chris is back to work, and the little ones are growing. 🙂

Amy is doing really well at school, she enjoys going, she loves her teachers, and she has good friends at school. She has matured so much the past few weeks and we see a wonderful change in her attitude.

Haley is, Lord willing, starting 1st grade in September. She is super excited that this year is finally the year she will go to school with Amy. I just recently did a timeline and in 2025 all of our kids will be in school (Jonathan in 1st grade, Joshua in 2nd grade, Haley in 6th grade, Amy in 9th grade)! Haley loves drawing, building, and playing with her siblings. Her personality has changed tremendously these past two years (since we moved back to Hungary) and I often wonder how different she would be without the influence of an older sibling. It’s fun to see them change, grow, mature, become “them.” 🙂

Joshua misses his sisters and dad so much during the day. He asks me 100 times where Daddy, Amy, and Haley are. (True story: he is asking me where they are at this second, as I just finished typing the last sentence. 😀 ) Joshua loves to build, play with puzzles, learn the colors, numbers, and ABCs. He speaks in small sentences and knows a lot of words (but he is not pronouncing them perfectly, so we had to learn what he means by what he says. Now that we are pretty familiar with the way he says things, we understand most of what he is trying to say).

Jonathan is a really fun baby. He loves to smile, is generally content, and sleeps enough. He started to wake up at night again, which is not my favorite, but he does go back to sleep after I feed him at night, which is wonderful. He sleeps with Joshua in the “boys’ room” now.

Chris is really busy at work, this year has been a little more eventful than I anticipated, but he is handling it like a champ. He has restless leg syndrome and the doctor just recently upped his dose of medicine for it, which hopefully helps with his sleep. He still loves what he is doing and is able to meet with the guys one-on-one, which is one of the things he enjoys the most.

I am doing well as well, a little (or maybe a lot?) tired recently due to Jonathan waking up at night again, but feeling well, doing well, which is a big praise. I just told someone the other day I rather be tired and well, than rested and feeling bad. 🙂

We are extremely blessed and are so thankful for our family and friends!
