We Are Going to MIT

Dear Friends,

WLGIn a few days we leave for one of Word of Life Germany’s locations. This year that is where MIT (Missionary in Training) will take place in Europe. This training is needed before we can officially become long term, full time Word of Life missionaries. Please pray for us as we go through the training, and for our girls, who will spend 7 days apart from us (the longest since they were born).

We are still raising one time support for the training expenses and monthly support as we transition from short term, full time missionaries to long term, full time missionaries. We are grateful for the many families and individuals who already support us and make it possibly for us to serve here. It’s an honor to be here and we are thankful for your support!

I have the privilege of mentoring 3 girls from the Bible Institute, which is my favorite part of the school year. It’s so wonderful to see these precious ladies grow in their faith and in their knowledge of God. I am very thankful for them and hope I can encourage them as much as they do me!

We also have Family Night every other week at our house, this is a night we can spend with our mentorship group. We have about 11 students and staff over at this time, and we play, talk, share, fellowship together. I love these nights where I can get to know a bigger group of the BI students better. Since we have the same people over throughout the year, it gives us a chance to deepen our friendships with them and serve better alongside them.

Every Friday night we invite the given guest teacher or guest teachers (and their wives) over for supper. I am so thankful for each one of them! It’s a blessing they come to teach here and we are honored to be able to get to know them through supper. I always look forward to this part of the week, and since we host on Fridays, the kids can stay up a little longer and fellowship with us, since there’s no school the next day. I know Chris really enjoyed and benefited from these suppers his parents’ were hosting, so I am very happy our kids can have the same experience!

Life is busy, but we are glad to be serving God in these responsibilities. Please pray that we would never lose focus of why we are here, that we would glorify Him through our days, and that we would be good example to those around us.

We are thankful for you!
