House Update

Hi there,

making bread with mama

It’s been a while since we mentioned our house we bought last September. We moved in on May 20, with no sinks inside the house, so we had to go outside to get some water, but we had a working toilet! 🙂 Since then we have all of our toilets, sinks, and showers installed, and this month we even put our curtains up (with a help of a friend) in almost all the rooms. An even more exciting news: as of October 10, we have hot water and heat!!! We are ready for winter!

I dreamt a lot about taking shower with hot water in these 4 and a half months, which is something I have never done before. It’s interesting how natural I though having hot water is – or heat for that matter. We are grateful to God for hot water and heat, and we won’t take it for granted for a while for sure! I wonder how many other things I take for granted that a lot of people dream of having! It was definitely a good eye opener!

JoshuaWe enjoy having a house and are so excited we can live here. The kids sleep in the same room, and they don’t wake each other up, which is a praise in and of itself. 🙂 Another big praise is Joshua sleeping through the night. It has made a big difference in my days, since I am able to sleep more as well.

Joshua has 2 teeth on the top and one or two on the bottom cutting through, so he is very whinny these days. He is also sick, which I am sure doesn’t help. Chris is sick as well, he is very weak and has a hard time getting out of bed even. Please pray for him, so he can feel better and go back to work.

Petra and DanielAmy really enjoyed this past week, as we had a conference on our property and she was able to go to the castle after school and stay there until evening. It was a very tiring week for us, but the kids get to play with other kids and make new friends. I was also able to get to know some other moms and had great talks with them.

Haley’s drawing is improving day by day. We had a couple who graduated last year visit us, and Haley drew a lot for them. We are so grateful to see her develop her skills.

God bless!
