Sharing the Gospel in Budapest

Sharing the Gospel in Budapest

The school year has started, and we are very excited!
God has provided a wonderful group of students, and exceptional second year students, many of which are leaders in their dorm rooms. I can’t wait to see how God uses them in the lives of their room-mates this year!

Also, we have some new people who have joined us as short-term staff. I will mention two of them who I work with closely. Mary Knoch graduated from the 2nd year of the BI this May, and is helping with the Student Ministries program. She has been essential in working with the students and ministry leaders to get 20 ministry teams organized. It is not a small task to harmonize that many schedules and personal talents and experience to make functional teams. We pray that God will use these teams to help evangelize and disciple the youth in Hungary.

Speaking of which, last week the students and staff were able to go out to the streets of Budapest to share the Gospel for two afternoons. We personally shared the Gospel with well over 250 people, and counted over 10 new professions of faith in Jesus Christ! How exciting!

Daniel Castro is the Assistant Dean of Men this year, and is an amazing encouragement to me! He graduated 1st year this May, and after much prayer and consideration, he decided to join our team for this year. I shared his testimony in our June update, before we knew he would be able to come back. You can read it here: http://www.chrisandlilijames.com/looking-back-looking-forward/
Please pray for financial support for both Mary and Daniel, as the work they do here is absolutely essential to the healthy functioning of our program!

Also, please pray for more long-term staff. We want to do our job with excellence for the sake of these students (and ultimately God,) and having long-term staff is a key part of making that desire a reality.
